Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, store and protect personal information — written in plain English, with the specifics enterprise buyers and their legal teams need.
Who we are
Accelerate IT Performance ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian enterprise technology, AI, cybersecurity and managed IT firm. This policy applies to information we collect through accelerateitperformance.com, our Free Technology & AI Audit, contact forms, the AI concierge and every engagement with our team.
We are the data controller for information you submit directly to us. Where we process personal information on behalf of a client — for example, inside a managed service or an AI system we build — the client is the controller and we act as processor under a written data processing agreement.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to help you:
- Contact details — name, work email, phone, job title, company name and location, submitted through our contact and audit forms.
- Business context — anything you choose to share about your current technology stack, goals, timelines and challenges.
- AI concierge transcripts — the questions you ask our on-site AI assistant, so we can improve the answers and follow up if helpful.
- Usage data — aggregate page views, referrers and device type via privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 and our services are not directed to children.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and deliver the Free Technology & AI Audit.
- Scope, deliver and support engagements across our AI Solutions, Cybersecurity, Managed IT, Cloud & Microsoft, Business Automation, Digital Growth and Executive AI Coaching divisions.
- Send occasional briefings you have opted into — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Meet legal, tax, insurance and regulatory obligations.
We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Legal bases for processing
Under the Australian Privacy Principles and — where applicable to European clients — the GDPR, we rely on:
- Contract — to respond to your enquiry, deliver services and fulfil client agreements.
- Legitimate interests — to secure our systems, improve our service and communicate with existing clients.
- Consent — for marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — record-keeping, tax and regulatory reporting.
Storage and security
Personal information is stored on encrypted infrastructure operated by reputable providers (primarily inside Australia, with limited processing in other regions where a subprocessor requires it — see below). Access is restricted to authorised Accelerate IT Performance personnel under least-privilege controls and full audit logging.
Our own security posture aligns to the practices we recommend to clients on the Cybersecurity page — including the Essential Eight, MFA on every account, hardened endpoints, active monitoring and a documented incident response plan.
Subprocessors
We use a small number of vetted providers to deliver our website, forms, email, CRM and AI concierge. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and appropriate transfer mechanisms. A current list is available on request to privacy@accelerateitperformance.com.
Where AI systems are used on client data, we follow our AI Usage Statement — including training exclusions, prompt controls and audit trails.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry information for up to 24 months after our last interaction, so we can follow up meaningfully. Client engagement records are kept for the life of the contract plus seven years for tax, audit and professional indemnity purposes, then securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may, at any time:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update it.
- Ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or, if you are in the EU / UK, your local supervisory authority.
Email privacy@accelerateitperformance.com and we will action verified requests within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. Material changes are announced on this page with a revised "last updated" date; existing clients receive email notice where the change affects them.
