Governance
AI Usage Statement
How we use artificial intelligence responsibly — on our own work, on this website, and in every engagement we deliver.
Our principles
We apply the same governance principles to our own AI usage that we recommend to clients on the AI Solutions and Executive AI Coaching pages:
- Transparency — you should always be able to tell where AI is involved and what it is doing.
- Human oversight — a qualified human is accountable for every consequential decision and every artefact that reaches a client.
- Data protection — confidential and personal information stays inside approved systems and is not used to train third-party models.
- Auditability — prompts, models, versions and outputs are logged so decisions can be reviewed.
- Fit for purpose — AI is used where it produces a better outcome, not for its own sake.
AI on this website
The on-site AI concierge is a retrieval-augmented assistant trained on the same public content you can read across the site — service pages, case studies, resources and firm profile. It is designed to help you orient quickly, not to give binding advice.
- Answers are grounded in our public content and cite sources when useful.
- We do not train third-party foundation models on your conversations. Transcripts are retained under our Privacy Policy and used to improve the assistant.
- Nothing the concierge says replaces the written scope and expert judgement delivered in a Free Technology & AI Audit.
How we use AI internally
Our teams use AI to accelerate research, drafting, code generation, threat analysis and reporting. Every artefact we deliver to a client is reviewed by a qualified specialist. Client data is only ever processed through pre-approved, enterprise-grade tools with data-processing agreements in place — never through free consumer chatbots.
AI in client engagements
Systems we build for clients — agentic workflows, copilots, automations, RAG assistants — follow a client-approved governance framework covering:
- Data classification and where each class may be processed.
- Model selection, region and residency.
- Human-in-the-loop checkpoints for consequential actions.
- Guardrails, evaluation sets and drift monitoring, aligned to the Essential Eight controls covered on our Cybersecurity page.
- Audit logs, versioning and a documented rollback plan.
Governance workshops for boards and executive teams are delivered through Executive AI Coaching.
What we don't do
- We don't feed client information into public consumer chatbots.
- We don't use AI to make final hiring, credit, safety or clinical decisions without a qualified human in the loop.
- We don't ship AI content to clients without human review.
- We don't allow third-party model training on client or prospect data.
Reporting an AI issue
If an AI-generated response on this site is wrong, misleading or concerning, email ai@accelerateitperformance.com or use the contact page. We investigate every report and update our prompts, retrieval sources or guardrails as needed.
Changes to this statement
AI capabilities and best practice evolve quickly. We update this statement as our practices change; the current version is always at the top of this page with a revised "last updated" date.
